Questions people ask
What encryption does this use?
AES-128, via the standard PDF encryption format that Adobe Acrobat and other readers support natively.
What if I forget the password?
We can't recover it for you — it's never sent or stored anywhere. If you lose it, the file is unreadable.
Does this restrict printing or copying too?
No — this only requires a password to open the file. It doesn't try to enforce printing/copying restrictions, which aren't reliably enforceable anyway.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No — the password is applied entirely in your browser.
