How to Extract Specific Pages From a PDF

September 8, 2026

Sometimes you don't need a whole document — just a page or a short range out of it, without the surrounding content.

Extracting a page range

Split PDF is built for this: drop in the file, and it shows the total page count. Enter the "from" and "to" page numbers for the range you want, and it downloads exactly those pages as a new PDF — the rest of the document isn't included.

Extracting non-consecutive pages

If you need pages that aren't next to each other (say, page 3 and page 17, but nothing in between), extract them as two separate ranges and, if they need to end up as one file, combine the results afterward with Merge PDF.

If you need to remove pages rather than extract them

Extracting and removing are two sides of the same problem. If it's easier to think in terms of "delete everything except this," Organize Pages shows every page as a thumbnail you can individually remove, which can be more intuitive than range math for documents where you're keeping most pages and cutting just a few.

FAQ

Does extracting pages affect their quality or content? No — extracted pages are exact copies of the originals, with nothing re-rendered or altered.

Can I extract a single page instead of a range? Yes — set the "from" and "to" values to the same page number to extract just one page.

What's the difference between this and Organize Pages? Split PDF extracts a page range into a new file; Organize Pages is better for visually picking specific pages to keep or remove within the same document, especially when they're scattered rather than a clean range.
