Does this preserve the original layout?
This pulls out the text, page by page, as plain paragraphs — it doesn't try to recreate columns, tables, or exact positioning. It's built for getting editable text out fast, not for pixel-perfect layout recovery.
Will it work on a scanned PDF?
Not yet — this reads the text layer that's already in the PDF. Scanned pages with no text layer need OCR first, which isn't part of this tool yet.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No — text extraction happens locally in your browser.
