Questions people ask
Is this a real redaction, or just a black box on top?
Real removal. Each page is flattened into an image with the black boxes baked in before rebuilding the PDF, so there's no text or vector content left underneath to recover — unlike just drawing a shape over existing content, which some tools do and which can be undone.
Does this affect text selectability?
Yes — since pages become images, the output PDF's text is no longer selectable or searchable anywhere, not just in the redacted areas. That's the tradeoff for guaranteeing the redaction is real.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No — redaction happens entirely in your browser.
