Questions people ask
How is this different from PDF to JPG?
PDF to JPG renders each full page as an image, including whitespace and any text on that page. This tool instead pulls out the original embedded photo files — so a page with one photo on it gives you just that photo, at its original quality, not the whole page.
Does this work with every PDF?
It extracts JPEG-compressed images, which covers the large majority of scanned pages and embedded photos. Some other embedded image formats aren't supported yet — if a PDF has images this tool can't extract, it tells you rather than guessing.
What if a page has no images, just text?
Nothing to extract from that page — text and vector content aren't images. Use PDF to JPG instead if you want a picture of the whole page.
Does my file get uploaded anywhere?
No — the PDF is read and the images pulled out entirely in your browser.
