What to expect from the images
Because each page is rendered as a flat image rather than exported at its original vector quality, this works best for viewing, sharing, or embedding — not for cases where you'd need to zoom in far past a normal reading size. Text and line art stay sharp at typical viewing sizes; very fine print zoomed in aggressively will show more softness than the original PDF would.
If the PDF itself started life as a scan or a collection of photos, converting it back to JPG gets you close to the original images again, just re-rendered through the PDF page.
